About Us

I’m Evgeniya Yael, a homeschooling mama and tutor.

I was born in the Soviet Union in the 1980s, grew up in Russia during the 1990s, and graduated with honors in math and computer science in the 2000s. In 2011, I moved to Toronto, Canada, to join my husband.

A few years later, our busy bee was born, healthy at first, but eventually developed some mysterious symptoms that landed us at the hospital when she was just 11 months old. We spent the next year between SickKids and Holland Bloorview hospitals.

After her discharge, we tried to establish a sense of “normalcy” with our daughter in daycare while I explored various career opportunities. Being her primary caregiver made balancing a career particularly challenging, especially without any family support here in Toronto.

Eventually, I realized that my hobby of tutoring, which I had been doing since my teenage years, could become a bigger part of our life in Canada. So, I began tutoring in 2016, and in 2017, I decided to pull my daughter from the system to homeschool, embracing our bilingual and special needs journey.

I’m passionate about child development, positive parenting, and making learning engaging—whether full-time at home, after school, or during breaks. My eclectic teaching and homeschooling approach adapts to different life stages and priorities, ensuring flexibility and effectiveness.
